SIDEWALK CHALK PAINTING

Gather unto you some supplies:

• Chalk
• Rags

Time of work: From a few minutes to a few hours 

Time from start to finish: Up to you

The trick for this is to rub the chalk into the sidewalk with a rag. Any chalk will look thin and anemic until you rub it into the sidewalk.  

1. Draw your major shapes  
2. Fill in with colors 
3. Rub the chalk into the surface with a rag. 

This will spread the chalk around into the tiny valleys and creases of the sidewalk which transforms it into a surface rich in pigment instead of a sidewalk.   

You can also blend chalk colors together to get a new color, like with paint.
