You'll need to know the length and width. Also, deduct a couple inches from each side and use that as your measurement when buying stretcher bars.
Sold in a variety of brick-and-mortar and online stores, stretcher bars are commonly sold in kits that you assemble yourself.
You'll need a screwdriver, a hammer, and a staple gun or tac hammer.
If you have a stretcher bar kit that requires you to assemble it, follow the instructions from the seller.
I like to put one staple on each side before stretching and stapling any one complete side.
The kits I buy have aligator hangers included. These are easy to hammer into the wood after the canvas has been stapled on all sides.
